Hydroseeding & Erosion Control
Support pollinators. Beautify your land. Protect your soil.
We’ve created custom wildflower and grass mixes designed specifically for the Plateau, carefully matched to your site’s soil, sunlight, and slope conditions. Each blend can be further tailored to your preferences, the season, and the unique characteristics of your property.
Whether you’re looking to stabilize a slope, create a vibrant wildflower meadow, or support pollinator habitats with native plantings, hydroseeding offers a beautiful, eco-friendly solution as a lower-cost alternative to sod.
For builders and large properties, we also provide custom programs and pricing.

What Is Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is an efficient, professional method of establishing grass or wildflowers by spraying a slurry of water, custom-selected seed, organic mulch, and fertilizer directly onto the soil. It’s ideal for new construction, septic installations, erosion-prone areas, and large rural properties where sod is impractical or cost-prohibitive.
Compared to traditional seeding or sod, hydroseeding provides excellent soil contact, moisture retention, and slope coverage — all at a lower cost per square foot. It’s a fast, effective, and environmentally conscious way to bring bare soil back to life.
Hydroseeding in Action
We’re on site applying a custom hydroseed blend designed for this property’s soil and slope conditions. Every mix includes premium seed, organic mulch, and fertilizer to promote germination and prevent erosion. We start each project with a soil test and site consultation to ensure long-term success. Whether you’re restoring a disturbed site, prepping after a septic install, or building a new home — hydroseeding is an efficient, cost effective and natural way to bring the landscape to life.

Soil Testing & Site Readiness
Whether hydroseeding or using sod, success starts with healthy soil. Every project begins with a required site consultation, which includes:
On-site visit and access evaluation
Soil sampling and submission to a professional lab
Review of pH, nitrogen levels, and site-specific conditions
Amendment plan (lime or nitrogen, if needed)
Seed mix selection based on sun, slope, and client goals
Hydroseeding is only scheduled after soil test results are returned and any amendments are applied. This ensures the seed establishes quickly and with long-term success.

Erosion Control That Works
Whether you're stabilizing disturbed soil around a septic install or protecting a slope from seasonal runoff, erosion control is about more than preventing washout — it's about building a resilient landscape.
Our hydroseeding service includes organic tackifiers to help bind mulch to soil, reducing the risk of erosion during early establishment. For high-risk areas or slopes, we offer fully biodegradable matting and natural fiber stakes (no plastic) to provide an added layer of protection while vegetation takes root.
We can also recommend and apply native seed mixes that build long-term resilience while blending with the surrounding ecology.
Ideal Conditions
Site conditions are critical for a successful hydroseeding application. Based on the time of year, shade, drainage, and desired outcome, we can recommend specific seed mixes. In general, the following conditions are ideal for hydroseeding.
-New lawns on construction or renovation sites
-Final grading after septic installation
-Steep slopes or erosion-prone areas
-Wildflower meadows and naturalized zones
-Hard-to-reach areas where sod is impractical
-Environmentally sensitive areas requiring low-impact planting
Requirements:
-No existing heavy weed, leave or old mulch coverage
-Access to a water supply, specifically a working hose bib or hydrant
-Minimum of 2,000 Sq Ft application area in total (40x50')
